Kesar (Saffron)
केसर
Saffron, weighed by the gram from behind the counter rather than picked off a shelf. Tell us how much you need — most kitchens take a gram or two at a time, and a wedding order looks nothing like that.

Keeping it
Its own airtight tin, dark and dry. Kesar loses its smell to light faster than it loses its colour, so a clear jar on a windowsill is the one thing to avoid.
Commonly asked
Before you order
What is the kaju rate in Bhopal today?
Cashew is sold by weight and the rate moves through the year, so we quote it on the day rather than printing a number that goes stale. Message us on WhatsApp and we will send you today's rate for the grade you want. Larger, whole kaju costs more than broken; both are useful for different things.
What is the badam price per kg?
Almond price depends on the grade and the size of the kernel, and it shifts with the season and the import cycle. We weigh and quote at the counter, or on WhatsApp if you want to know before you travel. Ask for the rate on the grade you actually want rather than a general figure.
What makes the dry fruit rate go up and down?
Mostly the harvest and the import cycle, then festival demand on top. Mewa is bought in season and released through the year, so rates firm up as stock thins. Demand around Diwali and the wedding months lifts them again. That is why we quote on the day rather than holding a printed list.
